I knew of Ann from my time at Citi and had been thinking about getting a mentor for a while. I have had mentors in the past through official programs at work and found them to be very useful. When I saw Ann was a mentor on Wiseup it was a no brainier and quickly set up a virtual coffee meet up through the site. I have had a few sessions now and found them to be very rewarding and is providing exactly what I was looking for. Ann is very approachable and through her extensive experience at many major financial institutions, I often describe a situation to her, to seek an outside, helicopter view and she has been able to guide me appropriately and also back it up with a similar situation that she has been faced with, for comparison. It provides a sense of reassurance that these challenges are experienced by others. I love bouncing ideas of her too! I always come away feeling more confident, as well as re-energised and she always provides me with soo many more things to think about it. It’s a great way to get a different perspective on things. If you are thinking about getting a mentor, don’t delay and I would highly recommend Ann for all your mentoring needs, she really does give sound advice, as well tips on how to improve.
