On the 29th January, the procurement community will come together at The Admiralty for one of the most exciting dates in the calendar, for Procuary’s Networking with Purpose Awards event. Proud to be sponsoring the Social Value Award, this accolade will recognise the organisation/ individual creating meaningful social impact. Social value is one of the core pillars of Wiseup, and we are firm believers that it isn’t a “nice to have”, it’s central to building a fairer, more inclusive environment in the UK.

Yesterday marked an exciting milestone for Wiseup, as DJH officially launched their Pathfinder Programme, welcoming five students with SEND from Trafford and Stockport College to their Altrincham office. The programme launched with the first of four mentoring sessions, which will take place in addition to a week long work placement at DJH. This programme has been designed to give these students a thorough understanding of the workplace, whilst providing them with a support network and the confidence needed to grow and flourish.

On Friday 7th November, the Wiseup team attended the SME National Business Awards in London –an inspiring event that brought together outstanding businesses from across the UK to celebrate the very best in the SME world. We are truly honoured to share that Wiseup not only took home the Gold Award for Best Enterprising Business, but was also named the Overall Winner of the evening! With over 120 finalists across 19 categories, and thousands of business submissions, to being recognised as the Overall Winner is a monumental achievement for our small, family-run business. It’s a moment that highlights how our mission, programmes, and impact continue to resonate with and inspire those who learn about our work.

On 18th October, Wiseup Networks proudly hosted our second Talent of Tomorrow event at Altrincham Football Club, bringing together businesses, education providers, and local partners in AFC’s John King hospitality lounge. With over 80 guests in attendance, the day once again proved to be an inspiring showcase of how collaboration can open doors for young people.

We are delighted to announce that Wiseup Networks has taken home the GMCC Excellence Awards’ Skills & Talent Champion award! Last week’s award ceremony proved to be a pivotal moment for the team, as we were recognised for a brand new category and demonstrated our continued commitment to championing talent in Manchester.

Today marked an exciting milestone for the Queen Mary students and their mentors from Inverto in the Pathfinder Programme, as they stepped into Inverto’s London offices for their half day office experience. Today’s in-office session was carefully designed by Inverto to give the mentees a taster of the day in the life at a leading consultancy firm, with the session focusing on a number of core topics and activities, including mentoring sessions, CV writing and a Q+A panel.
