Pathfinder Programme

WSD recently welcomed 9 students from Harris Academy Bermondsey for an engaging two-day work experience programme as part of its Pathfinder initiative, offering a valuable insight into the world of work within a global SaaS business. This milestone marks the second year running for WSD and Wiseup’s partnership on the Pathfinder Programme, an initiative designed to give young people invaluable insights into the world of work. Earlier in June, With Intelligence welcomed sixteen Queen Mary students to their offices for an interactive in-office visit designed to energise, inspire and inform the university students at a pivotal time in their lives. Studying a range of subjects, the group shared a strong interest in pursuing careers in the digital sector post-university. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to bridge the gap between academic learning and the realities of the workplace, giving students first-hand insight into the variety of roles and pathways available within the industry.

Last week marked a major milestone for the team at NES Fircroft and their students from Trafford and Stockport College Group, as they completed a fantastic work experience week. Thanks to the input, time and energy from the volunteers at NES Fircroft, the students experienced a vibrant and engaging work experience week at their Manchester offices. We’re proud to share that WSD’s second Pathfinder Programme kicked off yesterday, with the mentor briefing workshop taking place at their Canary Wharf offices. This year’s programme marks WSD’s continued emphasis on social mobility and supporting the next generation of talent, and we’re excited for what this year’s initiative will bring. We’re excited to share that Hays have just completed their work experience week as part of London Intern 26, welcoming seven students to their offices for a curated work experience designed to demystify the world of work. As part of the London Intern 26, the mentors at Hays have volunteered their time to take part and give back to the students from multiple schools, including Harris Academy Westminster and Sedgehill Academy.

Another fantastic work experience week was completed last week at LondonEnergy, as they welcomed 10 Harris Academy Tottenham (HATO) students to their EcoPark for the milestone fifth Pathfinder Programme. This represents an exciting opportunity for the young people involved, who now all have a much greater understanding of the workplace and the variety of opportunities at a company like LondonEnergy.
