Earlier in June, With Intelligence welcomed seven Queen Mary students to their offices for an interactive in-office visit designed to energise, inspire and inform the university students at a pivotal time in their lives.
Studying a range of subjects, the group shared a strong interest in pursuing careers in the digital sector post-university. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to bridge the gap between academic learning and the realities of the workplace, giving students first-hand insight into the variety of roles and pathways available within the industry.
With Intelligence’s Inspiring Agenda
The day was carefully structured to give students a well-rounded experience of life at With Intelligence. Sessions included department talks from both the product and editorial teams, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how different areas of the business operate and collaborate.
Alongside this, students took part in a series of practical workshops focused on building essential employability skills. These covered professional etiquette, CV writing, public speaking, and interview techniques, equipping students with tools and confidence to support their next steps.
The day was topped off by additional in person mentoring sessions to cement new learnings and outline actionable next steps for the remainder of the students time on the programme.
Bringing Career Pathways to Life
The office visit marked an important milestone in the Pathfinder programme, building on the momentum from the initial launch event. By stepping into a real working environment, students were able to contextualise what they had learned so far and begin to visualise their own future careers more clearly.
For With Intelligence, the visit demonstrated their ongoing commitment to supporting early talent and creating meaningful opportunities for young people to access the professional world.
As the programme continues, the students will take part in more online mentoring sessions, with the goal of carrying forward the insights, skills and connections gained from the visit, helping them to take confident steps towards their future careers.
A massive thank you to everyone involved in last week’s office visit, we’re thrilled the day went so well and the students got so much out of it!
