Hi there!
I am currently a fee earner in Manchester office of a global law firm, where I work in the Casualty (Personal Injury) department.
I started out in the legal world in 2005 as a part time Personal Injury Legal Secretary, then a Family Law Legal Secretary, whilst studying Criminology at the University of Liverpool. After University I moved to London and worked full time as a Criminal Law Legal Secretary, before moving back to Manchester and embarking on a Law and Practice course with CILEx (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives).
I then gained my own case load of Claimant Personal Injury claims before moving to Defendant Personal Injury as a Paralegal. I'm now a Senior Litigation Executive.
I currently handle a case load of over 80 personal injury claims and have mentored a Legal Apprentice who is now my Paralegal.
My previous mentoring experiences via other organisations have been positive and I'm keen to help mentees in whatever way I can. Whether it be discussions about available routes into law, help with getting work experience, interview advice or early career issues.
