I’m an experienced senior leader with a successful track record of building and developing high performing teams in the IT industry, as well as delivering consultancy and advisory services on an individual basis.
Over the last 25 years I have gained extensive knowledge of the industry, technologies, services and solutions. My value is to combine this knowledge with leadership, commercial, communication, collaboration and coaching skills to realise tangible business outcomes from the application of technology.
MY PROFESSIONAL MISSION
I’m passionate about helping people, which sounds a bit corny, but it’s true. I get an immense amount of satisfaction from helping people. Throughout my career I’ve worked with engineers, salespeople, leaders, and managers at all levels by providing coaching and mentoring.
One of the most significant aspects of the IT industry has been the incredible rate of growth and change driven by innovation in technology and changing business models. This presents huge challenges for technology and IT services businesses. I help people to achieve their goals, create business growth strategies, build individual and team development plans and address major challenges.
PERSONAL INTERESTS
I'm a keen motorcyclist and I'm a member of the Institute of advanced Motorcyclist. This is in addition to the Institute of Advanced Motorists test I passed in the 90s.
I'm a volunteer Blood Biker with the WhiteKnights Yorkshire Blood bikes group. We deliver blood, plasma, and transplant tissue between hospitals, blood banks and labs overnight and at weekends, 365 days of the year.
I'm also a drummer, having picked up the sticks a few years ago after decades of not playing, (I now regularly jam with friends).
I'm a keen watcher of sports including Formula 1, football, (Sheffield Wednesday) and snooker.
