Hi, I'm Laura
Hi, I’m Laura Harrison and I’m a retail industry specialist focussing on supporting those in the industry to develop the careers and goals they want to achieve so they can become the leaders they want to be.
My passion is to ensure retail and the high street continues evolving so mentoring those who want to lead in this industry is a must. Support and guidance is so important as you strive to do better for your team and yourself and having someone who knows the challenges you could be facing to talk to can be transformational.
With my love for retail starting early, I left school at 18 and went on to have successful careers in Store Management, Financial Merchandising and Supply Chain across fashion, stationery, technology and general merchandise retail product offers.
I’ve worked for some fantastic brands who are a key part of our luxury and high street heritage such as Burberry, Paperchase and Argos. My journey to senior leadership has taken learnings from all these businesses as I transitioned from role to role.
Leading teams in SME's and corporate environments has taught me that your people are your biggest investment and that although all companies are different in culture that your values are so important to being authentic.
My background and experience in overcoming obstacles has helped mould me into a confident, straight talking mentor. I have worked through boom and bust and the challenges of organisational change and understand how the pressure can impact individuals and their resilience.
I also understand that as your career progresses your responsibilities increase and the challenges of supporting change in an ever evolving fast paced industry can be tough.
I have supported many individuals over my career to realise their potential, grow their skills and seeing their joy in achieving their goals are my proudest moments, if you think I could help you too please let me know.
