Celebrating a Fantastic Work Experience with WSD and Harris Academy Bermondsey
We’re thrilled to celebrate the successful completion of a brilliant three-day work experience placement hosted by WSD for students from Harris Academy Bermondsey.
This initiative marked a major milestone in our exciting partnership with WSD, and reflects our shared commitment to opening doors for young people from all backgrounds to explore careers in technology and finance.
WSD’s Pathfinder Programme
Over the course of three action-packed days, the students had the opportunity to:
- Explore WSD’s dynamic workplace and discover how the company supports global financial institutions through cutting-edge SaaS solutions.
- Engage in practical workshops led by WSD professionals, offering insights into presenting, coding, employment skills and even financial literacy.
- Take part in career development sessions, including CV writing, interview preparation, LinkedIn profile creation, and networking advice.
- Present their key takeaways to staff members at WSD, gaining valuable experience in communication and professional confidence.
The sessions proved to be informative and interactive, giving the mentees tailored support in valuable areas. The result is the students gain a real sense of what a future career in this exciting industry could look like.
