Wiseup Networks Sponsors New CPD Programme for Altrincham JFC Girls Coaches
Wiseup Networks is proud to announce a new partnership with Altrincham Football Club, as we fund an exciting professional development programme for the volunteer coaches of Altrincham Junior Football Club (JFC) Girls.
Wiseup Networks Co-founder and Director Graham Wood’s sponsorship will fund a 6-week Continued Professional Development (CPD) programme, designed to enhance the skills and confidence of the parents and volunteers who coach the club’s girls’ teams.
Wiseup is excited to support Altrincham Football Club on this latest venture, following our Talent of Tomorrow Day earlier in April. The sponsorship will allow coaches to develop their skillset to enhance their ability to support the Altrincham Junior Football Club Girls Team by focusing on key areas, including planning sessions and selecting a range of activities that support and enhance all players and their differing levels. It will also include elements of match day management, including how to handle core elements of games like selecting substitutions and ensuring fair game-play.
Altrincham FC’s Head of Community, Simon Dow, spoke of the impact this initiative will have on the club’s grassroots teams:
“The support provided by volunteer parent coaches is invaluable and enables the children to participate in the sport they love every week. Although the role is amazingly rewarding, it can also be difficult with the amount of time required to plan and deliver sessions, especially if coaching isn’t something you’ve done before. This CPD programme is aimed at supporting the amazing work they do and will support their development as coaches, while also benefiting the players who represent the Junior Girls teams.”
